Quintet of new appointments close out record year for SBC

SBC has closed out a hugely successful 2018 by making a series of appointments to strengthen its editorial, marketing, events and design teams.

Joining the SBC content hub in Manchester is Erin Gallagher, who will be working primarily on content for SBC News, and Ellie Lynch, who has been tasked with increasing the video and audio output across the company’s complete portfolio of news portals.

SBC Managing Director Andrew McCarron said: “We are delighted to introduce two new starters in Manchester. Ellie will help us to meet a longstanding desire to combine our significant written news output with more engaging audiovisual content, while Erin, who has gambling in the blood through a family bookmaking business, will provide invaluable support to our existing content team.”

Meanwhile, the London headquarters have been bolstered by a trio of late 2018 additions, firstly through Emma Winstanley, who last week completed her first company assignment at the SBC Awards – a stunning festive-themed ceremony held at the Artillery Garden.

SBC Head of Events Charlotte Cowdrey commented: “It gives me great pleasure to welcome Emma Winstanley to the SBC team. Emma joined as Event Manager in October, working across all of SBC’s growing event portfolio. She brings a wealth of experience and knowledge of big events, both in the UK and overseas, from her time working with major organisers Emap and Clarion.”

Also featuring prominently in the build up to the SBC Awards was the newest addition to the marketing team, Andre Anastasi, who was appointed as Marketing Coordinator.

SBC Marketing Director Dennis Algreen said: “Andre joined us straight after finishing a Masters degree in Marketing & Strategy at Kingston University. He brings a fresh angle to our marketing, as well as a great enthusiasm and eagerness to get to know the industry.”

Meanwhile, the final addition to team SBC in 2018 was Maggie Pawlus, who has joined the existing design staff in the company’s new Putney office in Riverbank House.

SBC Head of Design Ercin Tufekci added: “I’m pleased to announce that Maggie Pawlus has joined us as a Graphic Designer. I’m sure that someone with her background and skills will be a great asset to our team and help us to pull off some great design projects.”
